Grandpa Ed and the boys prepping Thanksgiving dinner early in the day.
Evan and Ryan love to help me cook as I've probably mentioned several times. They are always very interested in what goes on in the kitchen. I wish that made them wonderful eaters but, not really.
Karen and her baby Kali playing with a ball popper toy. She entertained all of the little ones with this for quite some time.
Evan, Ryan, and Brady, all interested in the baby girl's little toy.
One reason why I was super excited to go to San Diego was to see my newest cousin Landyn Poppert. He's only about a month old and he's so super cute. Unfortunately, I didn't get to hold him at all because I was so sick that I didn't want to share my germs with him. I made that blanket that he's resting on.
While we were there it rained. Saturday was rainy almost the entire day. For a few minutes it was hailing. It hailed really hard and I was surprised at how quickly the hail gathered up.
Here's a big puddle of it at the bottom of the gutter drain.
Oh, here's another shot of that ball toy. Clockwise from the top: Karen, Kali, Brooke, Evan, Ryan, and Brady.
Brady and Ryan in the golf cart. I honestly don't even know when this picture was taken. I may have been taking a nap and feeling awful. At least the boys were having fun.
There are three Birthdays in November in our family. We usually celebrate them all together. This year Grandpa Ed turned 80!
Aunt Jean turned 58! And my cousin Shannon turned 38. I don't have his picture. When I finally started feeling better on Saturday, we went bowling. It was tons of fun! Thanks Aunt Jean, Uncle Frank, and Dad for taking us all to the bowling alley.

This was Ryan's first time bowling ever! I've actually wanted to take him because I have friends and family with kids his age that have gone. So, I was really grateful for the opportunity. He loved it, mostly. He thought he was supposed to knock down ALL of the pins every single time so he got a little frustrated at first, but later he started having fun with it. I was glad he was able to go.
His cousin Brady, who is only three months older but looks a whole year older, also got to go with us. I think he'd been a few times before so he sort of told Ryan what the scoop was on bowling. Ryan did really well the first game and actually came in second place in our lane, just behind Brooke. He beat me and Brenna! Anyway, he was excited and when Brady caught wind of the fact that Ryan had beat him, the two became very competitive for the second game. They were really neck and neck for the first three or four frames but Brady pulled ahead and ended up winning- or beating Ryan. They were both really quite pleased that they'd each won a game. And I was happy that they were content about it. I was also really glad that the two of them got to spend some good time together. Since Brady lives so far out of "town" we often don't get to spend too much time together while we're there.
